Your Nurse Advocates
Ellen E. Long
MISSION STATEMENT
My role as a Nurse Advocate is to establish relationships with a specific population of clients – to provide them with the tools they need to be able to meet their health care needs.
Here at Patient Advantage we endeavor to provide our clients with the encouragement, support and resources they need to decrease their risk of co-morbidities. We do this by addressing problems they may currently be facing - such as hyperlipidemia, diabetes management, obesity and hypertension.
As I make contact with my clients by telephone or in face to face encounters, a relationship built on trust rapidly develops. I have found this foundation of trust to be strongly instrumental in the success my clients have achieved in reducing their risk of chronic disease progression.
In my role as a Nurse Advocate I am also called upon to help in the formulation of learning tools such as webinars, to reach a larger audience.
I also sit on the board of managers, which allows me to assist in making policy decisions for the company.
I am proud to have been (and continue to be) a part of Patient Advantage's journey towards success, and its role in advocating for fellow human beings.
