Our board of managers is comprised of a group of health care professionals with collectively more than 100 years experience in the medical industry. We founded this search service to provide the patient with education and information to help with tough decisions regarding their health care needs.

Who We Are

Paul Bluestein DC, President
Patient Advantage, LLC


Paul Bluestein is the President and Founder of Patient Advantage, LLC; a company that offers risk management, wellness programs, disease management education, patient advocacy, and personal medical research since 2003. He built this company driven by a passion to help close the gaps in our current health care system. Patient Advantage currently serves dozens of facilities in seven different states and has positively impacted the health of thousands of people.

In 1976 he graduated as a teacher and went on to a 35 year career of teaching in all levels of education, including secondary, college, graduate school, home teaching, corporate, and community education. This experience has given him a unique perspective on bringing the tools of communication, assessment, and accountability to teaching about health to lay people.

He graduated in 1980 for Life Chiropractic College and pursued a career in private practice. He lead the ten year effort to develop the first community college based program seeking accreditation from the state of New York Board of Education for chiropractic paraprofessionals as well as seeking the enabling statute from the New York State legislature. He was a principal and founder of the New York Chiropractic Group, a physician group that was the first group to obtain full hospital privileges for chiropractors in the State of New York as well as one of the first in the country. He has been published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiologic Therapeutics and the Journal of the American Chiropractic Association. He was chiropractor of the year for District 17 in 1998.


Karen Sterling, National Medical Director
Patient Advantage, LLC


Dr. Karen Sterling is a board certified pediatrician with 15 years of practice experience and 11 years in the field of medical management. She began her management career by establishing a local physician’s hospital organization that expanded into a regional network. She has been Chief of Staff, the administrator of a multi-specialty group practice clinic and, for the last several years, has been part of the executive team for organizations that work in Medicaid Managed Care.

Her accomplishments include the establishment an eight-city regional physician/hospital network, construction and implementation of a $2M sports medicine complex, and the development of a start-up Medicaid HMO that received $200M in venture capital funding. She has designed and implemented multiple case management and utilization review programs that have been successful in controlling costs while improving quality outcomes.

Dr. Sterling holds a Masters in Medical Management degree with a focus on medical epidemiology, the healthcare of populations. She currently serves as the National Medical Director for the New York-based company Patient Advantage, in addition to providing Medical Management Services in Indiana through her own organization, Sterling Healthcare Management Services.


Gigi E. Grizanti, Director Sales and Marketing
Patient Advantage, LLC


Gigi has over 25 years of experience in the health care, pension and employee benefits industry holding various management and director positions. Gigi was the Senior Director of Pension and Employee Benefits for a local health care system, overseeing benefits for over 8,200 employees encompassing four hospitals and nine Long Term Care Facilities and two Home Care Facilities. Prior to that, she was a Manager of Employee Benefits for a multinational manufacturer and worked as a benefits specialist for a prominent Buffalo Law Firm. Her areas of expertise include self-funded and experience rated health care plans, medical plan management, corporate mergers and acquisitions, pension and benefit plan mergers, benefit plan standardizations, union relations and negotiations, and employee communications. Gigi is currently a Human Resources and Employee Benefits Consultant and recently joined Patient Advantage, LLC as the Director of Sales and Marketing.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Employee Benefits Conference and the Ken Ton Friends of Youth where she serves on the Finance Committee and Chairs the Board Development Committee. In addition, she has served as an Employer Member of the Business Advisory Council for Univera Health Plans a large health care plan insurer, as well as being a former Board member and officer on three other non-profit and professional organizations.

Gigi is involved at the National level with United States Synchronized Swimming supporting the National Team Development Committee and serves as the Vice President of the Town of Tonawanda Aquettes, a local synchronized swim team where her daughters are members. Gigi also volunteers her time for other Western New York charities such as Variety Club, Carly’s Crossing, Camp Good Days and Special Times, Western New York Food Bank, Make a Wish and serves as the volunteer Human Resources Director for Katrina’s Angels, Inc.

Gigi holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Canisius College and a Graduate Certificate in Pension and Employee Benefits Law from the Institute for Employee Benefits Training, a former affiliate program of the Wharton School of Business.


Jeffrey Stuart MD, Managing Director, Clinical Committee Member
Patient Advantage, LLC


Dr. Jeffrey Stuart is an anesthesiologist and the Medical Director of Washington Outpatient Surgery Center in Fremont, California, where he is primarily responsible for all clinical operations of a multi-specialty surgery center performing over 6000 cases annually. As Medical Director, Dr. Stuart directs the screening and scheduling of all patients at the center and also serves as Chairman of both the Continuous Quality Improvement and Credentialing Committees.

Dr. Stuart has extensive clinical and administrative experience over 15 years in practice and has held past positions as the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington Hospital, also in Fremont, California and as Co-Managing partner and Clinical Director of Fremont Anesthesia Consultants. Dr. Stuart is also a surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, an organization responsible for evaluating and accrediting over 3000 ambulatory facilities in the United States.

Dr. Stuart received his M. D. from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
